Making Electroreactive SlimeThis experiment involves mixing cornstarch and vegetable oil into slimy goo. Refrigerate until chilled. Then, remove from refrigerator and stir. Allow your slime mixture to warm enough that it will move and flow. For the fun part, you will need a piece of styrofoam of any size. Charge the syrofoam on a sweater, hair or other fuzzy material. Then, tip the container of room-temperature slime so that it starts to flow. When you put the charged styrofoam close to the slime, it stops flowing and morphs into a gel. When you remove the charged styrofoam, it flows again! You can add food coloring to your slime mixture to make it colorful!
Working With Density And LiquidsThis is one of the most simple kindergarten projects that demonstrates how liquids of different densities react to one another. All you will need is a clear container, mineral oil, water and food coloring. Fill the clear container or bottle with all the ingredients (in any amounts) and watch what happens!
